VEGFEST INTER-COLLEGE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

 An exhilarating football tournament organised by Vegan Festival (VEGFEST), Nigeria was held between the football teams of Oyo State College of Nursing and midwifery eleyele, Eleyele secondary school and Oyo State College Of Health Science Technology on 20th May 2022 at 10:00 hours.

The football tournament which took place at the NIHORT football pitch experienced a lot of exciting moments. The tournament attracted spectators, such as the management and staff of VEGFEST Nigeria and supporters of participating schools were present in the stadium to witness the thrilling football matches. The tournament was full of vigour and excitement as all the members of the participating teams gave the best of their efforts and displayed excellent skills and performance. 

The CONME male football team defeated Eleyele secondary school Male team by 2 goals to nil with both goals scored by STN Bankole Temitope (Gee) to advance to the finals.

The final match took place between the CONME team and Oyo state college of Health science Technology team. Both teams coordinated their best to give tough competition to the opponent team and the game ended in a goaless draw (0-0).

The finals was decided by penalty kicks in which CONME came out victorious.

CONME won 9-8 on penalties and the following are the names of the students that scored the goals: Tijani Shuaib, Balogun Heritage, Bankole Temitope, Adeshaanu Abdulmujeeb(An alumnus), Ajasa Jeremiah (Sports director), Michael, Adedokun Samson(Barrywhite), Abdul Feranmi(Mafia), Adeyemo John.

The College of health team shot their 8th penalty wide and STN Abdul Feranmi (CONME goalkeeper)saved their last kick.

The coach for the CONME football team was Mr Ipadeola while the assistant Coach was Nurse Adeshaanu Abdulmujeeb (An Alumni) who later came in as a substitute.
